The fourth full-fledged series of post-apocalyptic RPG games for which Bethesda has been responsible since 2008. The game moves us back into the typical post-apocalyptic realm of the series, giving us first and foremost freedom to play. In addition to the well-known elements of the cycle, the system of craftsmanship and the ability of a handy organizer, known as PipBoy, was greatly expanded. Despite a large number of changes in mechanics, interface and framing, developers have managed to retain the original atmosphere from previous parts of the game.
Fallout 4 for PCs is the fourth full-fledged version of the cult RPG series post-apocalyptic, launched in 1997 by Black Isle and Interplay. After the closure of the original developer’s studio and the cool reception of the PlayStation 2 Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, the franchise was taken over by Bethesda and its internal studio is responsible for both the third and fourth installments. The studio was formerly known primarily from the series The Elder Scrolls, whose most popular appearance, Skyrim, was released in 2011 on PCs and consoles PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The title for personal computers offers several improvements to console releases. The game offers the option of playing 60 frames per second and resolutions in excess of Full HD. On PlayStation 4 and Xbox, One Fallout 4 works “only” in 30 frames and 1080p.
Another important thing is modifications, which in the PC version are distributed almost the same as in the case of Skyrima. In short, players have practically full freedom in making modifications.
Fallout 4’s story starts in Boston’s suburbs just moments before the tragic nuclear explosion. During the short introduction we get to know the hero family and create our character (male or female), make changes to the appearance and assign skill points. A moment later follows this explosion, after which our protagonist goes to the antiphonal refuge no. 111. The proper action begins 200 years later when our controlled character emerges from the shelter to the surface and begins a struggle for survival in an unfriendly postapocalist environment. Our main task is to find the other family members.
Depending on your individual preferences, the Fallout 4 PC Windows version is a first- or third-person perspective, and the mechanics of the game are largely based on solutions known to Fallout 3 players. Such characteristic features of the series as the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system of attributes, or the V.A.T.S. target aiming system, allow for precise shooting of a selected part of an opponent’s body. There is also the opportunity to bring a dog or join forces with other characters, which in the course of the game we can make simple commands. The absolute goal, however, has become absolute freedom, so it’s up to the player to decide where he will go and how his actions will affect the future development of the plot.
Compared to the previous series of the series, the development of the craft has been considerably improved. Recycle the surroundings and use them to create completely new objects and even whole buildings that serve as a refuge for the hero and other survivors. There are dozens of base types of weapons available, each with hundreds of unique modifications. Fallout 4 also returns in an improved form known to fans of the PipBoy series of organizers, which, in addition to the entire management center, include: Also simple games – of course, if we find in the wasteland the corresponding disks.
